Paying for School

Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid is easier than you think. A large percentage of Loyola students receive some form of financial aid, including:

  • Federal Loans: Students enrolled at least half time are eligible for the Federal Direct Student Loan Program, which means that they can borrow subsidized or unsubsidized loans based on need. Student may also qualify for these federal loans to pay for the student’s education.
  • Private Loans: There are also various private loan options available to students to pay for education.

Our friendly staff will work with you one-on-one to help you understand your options and check your eligibility. Students should complete the FAFSA as early as possible after January 1 in order to be considered for all types of financial aid.

 

Employer Reimbursement

Loyola accepts tuition reimbursement from students whose employers offer that benefit.

 

Veterans Benefits

Loyola University New Orleans is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program for veterans who are eligible for the Post 9-11 benefit. Loyola will provide up to $12,000 per academic year, a figure the VA will match. This is in addition to the Post 9-11 benefit of $20,235 per academic year. This benefit is available to all eligible undergraduate and graduate students.
